GENERAL INFORMATION
Venues
The Psychosocial Academy (Ferrara, October 16-17, 2006) will be hosted by the University of Ferrara. Free transportation to Venice by bus ( 74 miles , a one-hour transfer) will be provided to all participants to the workshops and the faculty on Wednesday 18 at 9:00 a.m. (see Psychosocial Academy and the Program for details).
The 8th World Congress of Psycho-Oncology will be hosted at the Conference Centre RUSSOTT HOTEL which is located 6 Km from Piazzale Roma and the City Centre, 7 Km from "Marco Polo" Airport, and 5 Km from the Railway Station. The venue is ideal if you would like to reach Venice by car, since it is close to the bridge connecting the Laguna to the City Centre. The congress fee of the Congress includes: Congress badge, bag, printed material, admittance to the update courses, admittance to the plenary sessions and all the symposia, admittance to the poster sessions, abstract book with final programme (Congress Issue of the Journal Psycho-Oncology), welcome reception, lunch and refreshments during the congress .

Language
The official language of the Congress will be English . Simultaneous translation into Italian will be provided for Plenary Sessions and Special Satellite Symposia
( Venice , October 18-21, 2006). The majority of the Pre-Congress workshops
( Psychosocial Academy , Ferrara , October 16-17, 2006) will be in English.
A few, however, will be conducted in Italian (see the Programme and the website for further details).
Personal Insurance
Personal travel and health insurance for their trip is highly recommended to all participants.

Exhibition
A commercial exhibition will be arranged in conjunction with the Congress. Companies and organizations working in psychiatry, psycho-oncology, oncology, palliative care and related fields are invited to present their products, services or literature. Transportation
A free transportation service will be provided by bus from Ferrara to Venice for the delegates and the faculty of the Psychosocial Academy Workshops on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 (leaving time from Ferrara : 9.00 a .m.).
A free transportation from the Congress Center (Russott Hote)l to the Grand Hotel Excelsior will be provided on Friday, October 20, to all the delegates who will participate in the Gala Dinner.
